Boarding your pet can feel good
When you’re away, your pet deserves a place that feels safe and familiar.
Whether you’re travelling, moving, or renovating, we offer short and extended stays in a calm and well-maintained space. Our experienced team provides daily care, exercise, and attention. Medications and special diets are also supported at no extra cost.
Conveniently located on Route 90 near the airport, drop-off and pick-up are simple.
Your pet is cared for like family while you support animals in need.
What you can expect
We work hard to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay.
- Clean, well-maintained kennels and cat rooms
- Staff on site from early morning until late evening
- Medication administration and special diets accommodated
- Individual attention and monitoring from experienced staff
Typical stays range from one night up to 21 days, with longer boarding possible if arranged in advance.
All boarding fees are paid in advance unless other arrangements are made.
Dog boarding
Dogs staying with us receive plenty of exercise and attention throughout the day.
- Outdoor breaks at least five times daily
- Indoor and outdoor play time when appropriate
- Daily kennel cleaning and fresh bedding
- Behaviour monitoring to ensure comfort and safety
Baths or nail trims may be provided if needed or requested. Additional services may involve a small fee.
Price: a dog kennel is $35 per night or $200 per week.
Owners are encouraged to bring their dog’s regular food, toys, or bedding to help them feel at home.

For the safety of all animals in our care, dogs must:
Be in good health before arrival
Be spayed or neutered if over 6 months old
Be fully vaccinated within the last two years
Provide vaccination records from your veterinarian
Be friendly and house trained
Cat boarding
Cats staying with us are housed in our dedicated cat boarding rooms, designed to keep them calm, comfortable, and secure.
- Quiet, comfortable cat rooms
- Up to four cats per room
- Regular cleaning and monitoring by staff
Boarding cats remain in their designated rooms and do not roam freely through the shelter.
Price: a cat room is $25 per night or $150 per week.
We recommend bringing your cat’s regular food, favourite toys, or bedding to help reduce stress during their stay.

Our experienced team can administer:

There is no extra charge for most medication administration.
If your pet requires medication, please provide enough for the entire stay plus an additional day, in case travel delays occur.
Emergency care
In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, pets will receive appropriate veterinary care from our veterinary team.
Owners must provide:
- Emergency contact information
- Authorization for veterinary care if required
Any emergency veterinary costs are the responsibility of the pet owner.
Boarding With Purpose
When you board your pet at D’Arcy’s Animal Rescue Centre, you’re supporting more than just your own pet’s care.
Boarding fees help fund food, shelter, and veterinary care for rescued cats and dogs waiting for adoption through our Winnipeg animal rescue. At any given time, more than 150 animals may be waiting for their second chance through our shelter, foster homes, and community locations.
Your pet enjoys a safe and caring stay, and animals in need receive the support they deserve.
